Mud Crab RAS — Foundation

  1. Scylla serrata biology — moult cycle, cannibalism, territoriality, and why crab is not shrimp
  2. What a recirculating system is, part by part, and what each part is actually for
  3. Water quality: salinity, alkalinity, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, dissolved oxygen — and the range each one has to sit in for a crab
  4. Stocking, transport stress and the first seventy-two hours
  5. Feeding, ration and waste
  6. Unit economics — what a small unit costs, what it returns, and where first-timers lose money
  7. Live question and answer with the people running the farm

  1. Farm walkthrough — the whole Habitat-Enhanced RAS floor, box units, manifold and filtration train, running
  2. Handling live crab: grading, sexing, tying, condition assessment
  3. Water testing you do yourself — every parameter, with the kit you will actually buy
  4. Biofilter: what it is, how it starts, how it fails, how you know
  5. Stocking practical — acclimation and pre-stocking immersion, and why animals die in the first three days
  6. Feeding practical: ration, timing, leftover management
  7. Moult observation and what to do around it
  8. Costing session — you build the numbers for the unit you are planning, on paper, with us

Mud Crab RAS — Full Operator Course

  3. Biofilter start-up and maturation, managed across the week
  4. Moult management and mineral dosing schedules — CrabShield, CrabCare and AquaShield in practice
  5. Mortality diagnosis: reading a death, not guessing at it, and the corrective action for each pattern
  6. Grading, holding and pre-dispatch conditioning
  7. Introduction to soft-shell production and the moult window
  8. Market linkage — buyer expectations, grades, packing, documentation
  9. You leave with a written operating plan and a costed business plan for your own site

Mud Crab Hatchery Technology

  2. Broodstock — selection, sourcing, quarantine and conditioning
  3. Maturation systems: temperature and salinity, photoperiod, and the environment that brings an animal into berry
  4. Induction methods, indications and limits
  5. Spawning and egg-mass management — incubation, hygiene, and what a bad egg mass looks like early
  6. Larval rearing through zoea I to V, megalopa and first crab instar — the stage-by-stage protocol and where each stage typically crashes
  7. Live feed production: rotifer and Artemia culture, enrichment and feeding schedules
  8. Water and microbial management in larval tanks — the part that quietly decides survival
  9. Larval nutrition and the moult transitions between stages
  10. Nursery and crablet grow-out to stockable seed
  11. Hatchery economics, survival benchmarks and what a viable unit has to hit

When you are ready to build, we design and commission the unit and stay with you through the first production cycle.
